Vieux Flandre border fragment or sample

Very good condition. Both ends look naturally terminated. Beige in color.

Border of Vieux Flandre (Old Flanders). The mesh is needlemade, 1-1/2 twist worked from the left to right, same as the Alençon réseau fin. More work needs to be done on stitch structure.
The tax is something required for import into the United States, beginning in 1930. It's a complex subject and doesn't mean that the piece was made after 1930. Tags were sometimes falsified.
